Relaxation massage is one of the most popular types of massage we offer at TheMed. Unlike a regenerative massage, which targets specific problem areas, a relaxation massage is designed to relax the whole body and mind.
What is a relaxation massage?
A relaxation massage uses gentle, flowing strokes across the whole body. The goal isn't to work the deep muscle layers but to create a sense of wellbeing, release tension and balance the body.
How does the massage work?
Before every massage there is a short consultation to agree on your preferences. The massage takes place in the pleasant setting of our studio on Národní třída. We use quality massage oils, individually warmed.
Benefits of a relaxation massage
Regular relaxation massage helps lower stress-hormone levels, improves sleep quality, releases muscle tension and supports overall mental wellbeing. Many clients say they sleep much better afterwards.
Who is it for?
A relaxation massage suits almost everyone — whether you're stressed from work, need to rest or simply want to do something nice for yourself. No medical reason is needed.
Book online and come and relax with us on Národní třída!
A couples massage is a great way to relax and unwind together. At TheMed on Národní třída you can share a professional massage experience with your partner, a friend or even a colleague.
What is a couples massage?
In a couples massage, two clients are massaged at the same time in the same room by two masseurs. Each receives an individual massage tailored to their needs — one might have a regenerative back massage while the other has a full-body relaxation massage.
As a gift
A couples massage makes a great gift for couples, anniversaries, birthdays or Valentine's Day. You can order a couples-massage gift voucher from us at info@themed.cz.
Booking
For a couples massage you need to book two appointments at the same time. Add a note when booking that it's a couples massage — we'll make sure both masseurs are available at once.
We look forward to seeing you on Národní třída!
Taping, or kinesiotaping, is a modern therapeutic technique that has become very popular not only among athletes but also among ordinary people with musculoskeletal pain. At TheMed on Národní třída we offer professional kinesiotaping by medical-faculty students.
What is kinesiotaping?
Kinesiotape is a special elastic tape applied to the skin. Unlike traditional rigid tapes, it's very flexible and allows a full range of motion. The tape is hypoallergenic and contains no latex or active substances — the entire effect is purely mechanical and neurological.
How does kinesiotaping work?
The tape acts on receptors in the skin that are connected to deeper structures — muscles, tendons and joints. This influences muscle tone, improves proprioception and supports lymphatic drainage. The result is reduced pain, less swelling and support for natural healing.
Who does kinesiotaping help?
Kinesiotaping is suitable for back and neck pain, tendon inflammation, sports injuries, swelling after injuries, joint instability and chronic musculoskeletal pain. It can also be applied to prevent overload during sport.
Kinesiotaping at TheMed
Our masseurs are medical-faculty students with an excellent knowledge of anatomy. A short consultation precedes the application of the tape. The price is 300 CZK including materials; for further applications, 100 CZK/10 minutes + 2 CZK/cm of tape.
Looking for a quality massage in Prague city centre? TheMed is a massage studio run by medical students from the Faculty of Medicine. We offer professional massages at our studio on Národní třída (National Avenue) in Prague 1.
Why Choose TheMed?
All our masseurs are students of general medicine who have completed a professional massage course at the Faculty of Medicine. This means you get care from people who truly understand the human body — its anatomy, physiology and biomechanics.

Prague has a huge number of massage salons and studios. But how do you choose the right one? In this guide we'll tell you what to watch out for and why a massage by medical-faculty students is a unique choice.
Types of massage available in Prague
Regenerative massage — The most popular type, focused on releasing muscle tension, improving circulation and overall recovery. Ideal after sport or a demanding week at work.
Relaxation massage — A gentle full-body massage designed to create calm and wellbeing. It lowers stress and improves sleep quality.
Back massage — Targeted work on the back, neck and shoulders. Very popular with people who work at a computer.
Kinesiotaping — A modern therapeutic technique using elastic tape. It helps with sport, rehabilitation and chronic pain.
What to look for in a good massage salon
The masseurs' qualifications are key. A certified masseur should have a professional course and a knowledge of anatomy. An individual approach, a pre-massage consultation and a pleasant environment are other important factors.
Why TheMed?
TheMed is unique because our masseurs are general medicine students with a Faculty of Medicine massage course. They understand the human body on a different level than an ordinary masseur. We're in central Prague on Národní třída — easy to reach by metro or tram.
A 5-star Google rating from hundreds of happy clients speaks for itself.
